✨ TOTAL ECLIPSE ALERT

We are thrilled to announce that a Total Lunar Eclipse will be visible from St. Maarten this Thursday night into Friday morning!
Why does the Moon turn red?

During a total lunar eclipse, the moon turns red due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. As the Earth blocks sunlight from directly reaching the moon, the sunlight passes through our atmosphere, scattering shorter blue wavelengths and allowing the longer red wavelengths to illuminate the moon. This beautiful effect creates the stunning reddish hue we often refer to as a “Blood Moon”! ❤️

Mark your calendars, set your alarms, and let’s seize this fantastic opportunity to witness the beauty of the moon as it changes color!
