Model outputs are showing that the frequency of long-period swells in local waters have dropped to below 15 seconds (warning threshold). However, seas will remain hazardous with swell periods in the vicinity of 13 seconds, during the next few days. Therefore, small craft operators and beachgoers should continue to exercise caution

Small Craft Warning means that winds above 33 kts and/or waves above 10 feet are expected within 6 hours or is already occurring.

High Surf Advisory announces that onshore wave action in breakers will likely cause above normal sea conditions (today) or is already occurring.
High Surf Warning indicates that significant high onshore wave action is certain to occur or is occurring already mainly because of swells.
